Just back from CT Refinishing, this mahogany table has been in the family for over 150 years. Each leaf is single plain sliced piece of African Mahogany, 22" wide. What I like about this table is the simplicity . . . and the story. My great, great grandmother and her family dined on it in the 1860's . . . oddly it was relegated to the side porch during the great depression where it was used as home base for making lye soap . . . later refinished and brought back into the dining room of my grandmother's house when she was wed. We've used it as a side table here in our loft in Milwaukee for years now . . . but decided recently to swap it out as our main dining space . . . if only it could talk . . .
