What was a jungle is now a rustic park-like settingI've been remiss posting the second round of photos of La Finca. My 12 day trip to Tucson in October was the usual designer bootcamp. We filled 2 40 yard dumpsters during the landscape clean up, unpacked and placed furnishing and textiles throughout the house, etc. etc. Up next is art, additional textiles and cool finds. I'll post even more updated photos right after Thanksgiving!
Just back from CT Refinishing, this mahogany table has been in the family for over 150 years. Each leaf is single plain sliced piece of African Mahogany, 22" wide. What I like about this table is the simplicity . . . and the story. My great, great grandmother and her family dined on it in the 1860's . . . oddly it was relegated to the side porch during the great depression where it was used as home base for making lye soap . . . later refinished and brought back into the dining room of my grandmother's house when she was wed. We've used it as a side table here in our loft in Milwaukee for years now . . . but decided recently to swap it out as our main dining space . . . if only it could talk . . .
